70 Year Old Handmade Persian Isphan Rug Restoration

This rug is a very, very fine handmade Persian (Iran) Isphan rug. The rug is approximately 70 years old and has recently been restored to its original condition by our expert craftswomen. She meticulously rewove the fringes back in both ends of the rug, rewove damaged corner, fixed old repairs, re-did the binding on both sides and prepared the rug for hanging.

The signature on the bottom of the rug is very special. It tells us that the rug was woven by the famous rug weaving firm in Isphan or Esphan: Sadegh Seirafian – You can read more info about THEm here.

The owner really loves this rug and has decided to hang it on the wall in her home to save it for generations to come.
